Yoga
Iyengar Yoga Iyengar Yoga is an approach to the practice of Hatha Yoga developed by BKS Iyengar. This tradition emphasizes precision and alignment, and develops flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. It also emphasizes the importance of the breath and is unsurpassed in grace, subtlety and precision.
The trademark of Iyengar yoga is an intense focus on the subtleties of each posture. In an Iyengar class, poses (especially the standing postures) are typically held much longer than in other schools of yoga, so that practitioners can pay close attention to the precise muscular and skeletal alignment this system demands.
Also specific to Iyengar is the use of props, such as belts, chairs, blocks and blankets to help accommodate special needs, such as injuries or structural imbalances.

Hatha Yoga Hatha is a general term used to describe the physical aspects of yoga. There are many different branches or schools of Hatha Yoga, including Iyengar, Astanga, Bikram, Kundalini and others. The focus of Hatha yoga is primarily physical: the poses (asanas) that have become familiar to most Western yogis. Hatha yoga is intended to prepare the body-mind for the higher practices of meditation and self-awareness.
Sampoorna Yoga
Sampoorna Yoga is the yoga of fullness. It refines and purifies all aspects of the human personality so that the Soul can shine forth in its divine splendor. According to the yoga philosophy, when we speak of the body, we are referring to three bodies, the physical, astral and the causal body. All the systems in these three bodies are toned. That is why at the end of a Sampoorna yoga session you will feel relaxed, recharged and happy. In this class you will learn how to control the mind through pranayama, the body through asanas, and the physical body through relaxation. The classes are appropriate for all levels.

Introduction to Pranayama Pranayama is a Sanskrit word meaning "lengthening of the prana or breath". The word is composed of two Sanskrit words, Prana (life force or vital energy, particularly the breath) and "ayama" (to lengthen or extend). Pranayama can help lower your blood pressure, calm a racing heart, improve youg digestion, and over time, increase your lung capacity. Breath control helps to calm the body and the mind in preparation for meditation.
